A wedding recently held in a marquee on the family’s farm in Hawkes Bay had a number of interesting components that I thought were worthy of comment.
The wedding ceremony in the garden outside.
Here I am, ready to go. No tie required for this wedding out in the country.
Cool backdrop behind the head table.
Two portable heat pumps in the marquee!
The outside part of the heat pump.
Electric fence themed rope lighting showed the way to the luxury toilets.
Floodlights for the treeline outside.
Shallow trenching for the power and DMX cabling for the outside LED lights.
Lighting cables buried in the ground inside the marquee.
DMX controlled lighting meant we had control of the brightness and colour of the inside lights, which were hidden above the interior silks.
Family tradition dictates that a starter’s pistol is used to get attention and start the proceedings.
This chainsaw was started up and given to the bride to pretend to cut the cake with.
Lighting outside. Not a true representation of how it looked, but you get the idea.
More outdoor lighting.
